TW: In Class Individual Role 1

This week, following the shoot on Saturday I have started working on the construction of our music video, my individual role was to insert all of the clips into Adobe Premiere Elements 9.0 then begin dragging clips onto the timeline for the video, matched with the song.
  • Fundamentally I transferred all clips from the camera SD card onto the D drive of the computer we have chosen for editing. Next I transferred these clips onto Premiere Elements from the D Drive so that I could review footage and decide what shots were most effective and fitting with the song. This is shown from the picture to the right, showing a range of clips I had to choose from.

    •  Next, after choosing which of the clips I would use, I dragged them one by one onto the timeline, trimming them to a shorter length of time and to fit in with the beat of the song to give and amplifying relationship between visuals and music as we had planned, and match what we had storyboarded. I also had to use effects like time stretch to change the length of shots and use this for putting some shots in reverse to improve the quality and make some shots more effective. A picture of the timeline is shown to the right.

    •  The next picture is a screenshot of the project as it is, showing how we have enough footage for the first verse of our song, which is just over the first 30 seconds. This is good as it shows that no shots have to be retaken, therefore benefiting our time management.
